The biggest advantage China has, is, it has such a huge population that a government like the current Communist one, under Xi Ling Ping, can harness all these human beings, with its forceful obedient army, and force them to do whatever the government desires.
No morals, no consideration or care, just do it.
All the news, headlines popping up about China and its doings, what it could, would, will, wont do is becoming a circus, perhaps a dangerous one.The world should be doing everything in its power to disengage itself from these turds i.e. rebuild from the ground up and learn again to provide for ourselves.

i am neutral on this currently and wonder why China is not expanding into space colonization since most of the global economy is on the verge of collapse
IMO given current conditions China needs to consolidate it's internal infrastructure and infrastructure expansion in space can be done with minimal competition ( from earth-based rivals , like Musk )
remember those scumbag bankers in the US and EU NEED a war to distract from their part in the financial collapse
