Why Dukas Is Not Being Drilled

    The BOD and CEO should have been made to resign at the time of the failed macquarie Bank SOA.
    They bullshitted us and got to stay on and just kept up their privatisation agenda and treated us share holders like shit.

    yes the failed SoA should have resulted in a board renewal , since the board completely supported the SoA

    and to be honest am surprised they were not completely replaced at the next AGM after that

    i reckon some bribes changed hands somewhere

    not sure even ( something as useful as ) bullshit is coming from the board , maybe it is just climate change taxable methane ( but not enough for commercial quantities )

    Sorry to say, ... I think CTP share holders have missed the boat, considering investors and energy sectors opting more so for green technology.
    Not so exciting now if anyone strikes oil or gas, so will only be good for the company, BOD and MD for ongoing incomes.
    What a waste of my time and money since 2008.

    Leon Devaney do some fn thing, .... for fn share holders.

    About time our CTPSA did something about our low share price, ie, advised Leon and company what they can do to create market interest, instead of just running the company for the boys club.

    Vote NO to all as, a few on HC have suggested, as company not looking after share holders.
    If they were, they would at least have a dividend for SH's.

    This is your chance to have your say. It important to vote or the directors will impose their conditions upon the shareholders.
    Director's remuneration has been entirely out of keeping with similar sized companies.
    The share price will go up as the gas price increases, not due to their efforts, which should be. the case.

    I have therefore voted against the remuneration report and the director's options.

    I am shareholder as I like the assets and new that although it has high operating costs, as the market price increases, so should the value of our significant reserves and resource.

    You can see from the chart above, that instead of selling the company's assets at a very low price, if CTP management had merely waited another 9 months, the cash would be rolling in as gas gets re-contracted at the significantly higher market prices available.
    Instead, they have traded the certainty of 2p reserves and associated infrastructure, for the hope of exploration success.

    In another year, if there is exploration success, they will show charts of the 1 yr increase in reserves, pat themselves on the back and vote for more bonuses and options.

    If you do not vote against, then you are voting for the current arrangement, where the management get lavish rewards now and we get empty promises of hope...

    Another one sees the Santos light, from hc;

    "I suspect that you are right that santos is not interested in the Helium in the current context whether that is due to their change of direction after their merger or they just dont want to be partners with CTP. This project has been in Santo's hands for how many years now. so I have to say the sentiment of giving up on Santos is reciprocated by me and many other CTP holders. If they had got their s***T together we would have had a lot more knowledge of the potential value of Dukas. So, i am happy for Sukas to give back their share of the prospect and find other potential partners."

    and from our friend prato;
    "Yes, Santos gave us the flick a long time ago. The grossly overpaid board should have acted but we’re happy to pretend all would be good in a year or two. Reprehensible. Unfortunately, many shareholders were hoodwinked and happy to go with the flow…. again.
    Also, this SP has no sustainability. My recent post 56669950 last week predicted the SP rise would not last long. Sorry to sound so pessimistic mate but this board has changed diddlysquat.Fact.
    Another Scrooge Xmas for CTP shareholders."

    We have wasted 9 years, (I think from 2012 when Cottee fooled his way in), since santos took over a lot of our tenements and has produced zero for CTP.
    And Leon and his mates happy with the status quo while they are doing very well, thank you very much.

    but Twiggy Forrest is thinking of processing hydrogen in QLD i know it isn't the same thing , but you have a guy who has actually got a project into full production and setting up close by ( well in QLD at least )

    a tiny chance but a better one than the CTP board at the moment

    Twiggy should be running Central Petroleum
    Around the time we had the privatisation, SoA, attempt by Cottee and MB, I asked Twiggy if he was interested in nominating for a position in CTP, but he was well and truly too busy elsewhere.
    A pity some of our politicians couldn't get off their fat .rses and do similar to what Twiggy Forrest has done and is doing now.

    We should be using high tech nuclear power for energy, the govt could arrange free power for our needs and manufacture for the world.
    Stuff the power companies, IMO.
    Just imagine how competitive we could become if there were no power bills.

    nuclear has it's problems as well but they have plenty of accumulated knowledge making them now , so some issues should be less

    from top poster on hc, agrees with me now :) ;

    "It surprises me there isn't more interest in the helium, it's exactly the sort of non-fossil fuel feel-good story companies like STO need to deflect attention from the activists, but I suspect they've done the numbers and the challenge they see is the infrastructure costs. Helium has never been targeted as a resource in its own right, it's always been an additional revenue source stripped out of an existing natural gas stream.

    I do think it remains CTP's most promising blue-sky growth prospect though.

    They need a Twiggy Forrest type willing to take on the story. "

    shoddy workmanship is the biggie

    used to work at a factory that used steam boilers , luckily nothing went badly wrong while i was working there , but the foreman used to tie rags around pipe leaks and put a bucket under the rag , leaks around the boiler were met with a hammer and chisel and lead ( a lot of the time ) ( the hydraulic leaks worried me most .. considering the skills shown elsewhere )

    a very interesting safety record there ( quite a bit of reading .. although not all the cripples were injured in the workplace some had accidents to and from )

    Another excellent post from psi from hc, regarding drilling results report on the Santos Dukas well.
    Whytf hasn't Central Petroleum made this available to share holders and the market ?
    At least it would have created a lot of interest as well as informing us.
    But it seems the company, MB , Leon and cohorts do not want too much interest in our company in case the share price does go above 18c.
    What a pack of aholes.

    The sooner CTP is cleansed of Santos and Macquarie bank, the better off share holders will be.
    Then the company, if they are inclined, (are you reading this Leon ?), ... can do what they are employed to do , look for hydrocarbons, unencumbered from outside influence and impediments.
    I hope there are a lot of the silent share holders that will vote NO, also.

    from prato/hc;

    "You would almost think that Santos know Dukas is not worth the bother, but know the board want to keep the prospect in “future” play so they can keep our hopes up and more importantly keep paying them our hard earned dollars.
    Smoke screen?
    You be the judge.
    Whatever it is, I will put money on nothing will happen in one or two years as stated.
    Think hard before you vote.
    Don’t winge after."
