Seeing that I'm looking through a few somewhat popular stocks for trading/investing I thought Qantas my suit the bill!
This is just as a first idea and to kick thinks off, but I don't know how this works in with their share buyback.
So let's see how this goes from here daily chart ... https://invst.ly/6tyk6
I think the weekly chart https://invst.ly/6tyn8 shows where I'm going with this. I thinking correction, but am just not sure yet how far this might be going.
Know how to short a stock or how to protect your investment yet?

On paper Qantas has been doing well, but just like many other industries it all catches up in time.

Huge staff cuts, reducing maintenance or shifting maintenance and training these dont show up in the intial 3-5 years on the books except in the profit section, however have an ugly way of showing up later

Their will be a big correction on this stock....After cancelling hundreds of peoples Frequent flyer Points using an old policy that allows then to do this for inactive use for 18 mths ,they have Automatically cancelled peoples cards .......I see a big back lash coming......my self I was due to fly to Vietnam then to the Philippines in July with Qantas ....I am now booking with PAL ...as they have cancelled my card with 255,000 points on it.
I have now found out its $3,500 aud cheaper to fly PAL Business class and at least $2000 cheaper Via Vietnam Airlines.

QAN is planning to phase in a 787 fleet ( much later than rivals ) those reductions in training and maintenance are probably relating to the 747 fleet which might impact on any resale value .

has been a persistent over-promiser .. and relies heavily on the pollies who love their executive lounge entitlements ( none dare call that corruption )

with the recent profit ann\. before of the vaporous take-over rumor ( it has happened before )

i sold my inherited QAN shares and bought AIZ ( the Ginger Rogers of airlines .... can dance anywhere Fred Astaire can but backwards and in high heels )

One small trouble they could have is if they have to park up planes, is where are they going to park them.

I think $1.25 is realistic. I was told by a long term pilot ,that they won’t be back in the Air until the end 2021.
    Not good.
