Doesn't say much for the intelligence of Queenslands politicians if they listen to her, an idiot can come from anywhere.

She's got the whole parliament licking her shoes it seems.
Except I'd say for Pauline Hanson.

The problem is, there is a whole host of 'Queenslanders' out there that believe whatever their leaders tell them.
    They're one big happy family.

i used to participate in some polls , but my views apparently clashed with the desired narratives so they stopped calling

maybe the polls only say what the customer desires

Morrison is under fire from the family of Mr Prendergast whose family are angry that their personal tragedy has been politicised by the Morrison government to try to discredit the Queensland government for political gain . The endless attacks on labor states are ridiculous covid does not discriminate between right left green or one nation supporters , the extreme right side of politics are pathetic 650million dollars allocated to prop up the building industry will only provide a few thousand short term jobs , the Morrison government is by far the worst in Australia's history.

I would imagine CHO Jeanette Young is having the time of her life making out there is an horrific disease lurking on the edge of the QLD - NSW's border.
Never has her importance been so highlighted and her decisions so in demand. Her time and work are so much more fulfilling with the responsibility of deciding who can and cant enter her state.
The QLD Premier Anastassia Pala..........k will now become a true QLD hero whether she wins or loses the election having said she would rather lose, holding the border closed, rather than sacrifice the lives of her beloved Queenslanders.

Wally Lewis was a hero , even Brendan Abbott had a lot of fans

only unionists who hate working would have the current premier as their pin-up girl

PS the border is NOT closed SOME can get in even some criminals

The reason the QLD Premier is making such a strong stance on keeping the border closed is to win the election, as her polling shows, it's what ' Queenslanders ' want.
Probably nothing to do with health or the economy, " just keep the Mexicans out ".

yes she didn't give a damn back in March with the council elections ( and two desperately needed by-elections for state seats ).

maybe she should ring Trump for advice on election polls

.. who controls the narrative .. the very same people who print the poll results

sorry, but one thing Slo-Mo CAN do ( even if he does it badly most of the time ) in control International borders that is something that was decided at Federation

all those lawyers on the public pay-roll and yet the pollies still don't understand the law

a tough PM would start shooting up transgressing boats and planes and probably totally legally

Don't know about International borders but opening Australian state borders is a Federal responsibility.
Either way it should not have to come to extreme measures if the leaders of Australian states were cooperative.
The current situation is an unprecedented event and drastic action is not something easy to do, much as we might like to see it happen.

    I have posted this before.

it you keep out the visitors ( from overseas , including students and diplomats and movie stars ) the other infections will drop steadily as there is no new carriers , other than local cases

there ARE measures to reduce the impact of the virus for most people , and they AREN'T restricted to lock-downs .. it is late but Sweden has shown the way ( or you could go the South Korean method , but that would mean rebuilding the public's trust in the government )

after all lock-downs where/are about stopping hospitals for being overwhelmed

the bloody virus could be hiding in frozen chicken or fish therefore the lock-down could last for years or until a rebellion

I imagine one important reason for keeping the QLD border closed is to prevent the Prime Minister entering and campaigning for the LNP prior to elections.
CHO Jeanette Young would be looking after her mate Anastassia by requiring the PM to do 28 days quarantining.
