Don't think so as I've known of people who've won lottery more than once (major prize division).

i remember unsuccessful attempts in Australia in the past ( helium filled balls was one i remember )

and if computer generated numbers as some are , always a chance ( might even be successful over here as well , at say Keno )

remember a smart cookie would only rig it so they regularly got 3rd prizes with the rare 2nd and first prize so as not to draw attention

when i used to race bicycles decades ago , some would wait for the major prizes before they dipped into their bag of tricks

Statistically there is a way to group half of numbers and play them in multi-combinations to increase chances by 50% of winning a major lottery prize draw - I devised system on excel and costs $70 a week to play (using 23 out of 45 number's)

Basically means if 6 number's are drawn and they come out of my 23 selected - then I have a very high chance/probability of scoring a major prize division (I'm still back testing it & fine tuning it so to speak).

So far results are impressive - the key is not to play it every week but to do so when it has had a poor outcome say over previous couple of week's as then chances improve dramatically over the following week's (I'm simply doing this as a fun mathematical excercise out of curiosity that came about from boredom in lockdown lol)

    P.S. and yes I have a mathematics/statistics background from 6yrs of Uni :)

I don't think so, just the chance of winning is so low, there are so many possible combinations, that even if there are participating so many people, it's very rare when someone can predict all the winning numbers, you have to be extremely lucky. This is why I am not such a big fan of lotto. Usually, you waste more money than win, and this is not profitable at all. For me, it's way more fun to play on https://www.vietnamwar.net/, and the chance of winning is tens of times higher than in a lottery, so I actually make money on this.

Yes, it appears to be sometimes. The Ca. Lotto Fantasy five game is a perfect example. After playing this game for years and making astute observations of the numbers drawn, I have concluded that it is rigged. The reason is that the simple astronomical odds that have happened repeatedly to my picked numbers being right beside the four or five picked defies all odds of this happening. It's happened way too many times for it, to be honest. I'll have all the '30s except one number will show up, same as the twenties and teens. It's incredible how they cheat the innocent players. I even found sites like this https://www.calotteries.com, where lotto results are displayed.
