the bridge near the whammy bar should tell if is "fully liscensed Floyd Rose" bridge which NEEDED a locking nut , could be a Jap fender ,or a custom made with genuine parts, Yamaha did many variations of that . :)

    Its not a strat

looks to be in excellent condition (or a respray, which is not good for collectible value)

this red strat hammered down for $16,730 at Christie's (see link)

FENDER - CIRCA 1985, FENDER STRATOCASTER (signed by Robert Cray)

nah, you guys will never get it.

    It's a Westone Spectrum DX 1985

Looks and feels like a Strat for sure...probably related somewhere down the line. Not much of a historian with guitars (yet)

They're pretty cheap..don't know why, they're freaking ace to play and sound fantastic. Well, i only gave it a run lastnight...maybe too early to tell. Everyone still wants USA Strats but i think the Japs made better guitars...from what i read anyway.

Should get a video of gig coming up and post it on youtube. Just don't want any trolls telling me how bad my playing is ...lol

the value is always in the players hands !! and if you can make do what you want it is priceless ,Jimi Hwendrix "monstered dozens of Strats (some were bought 3 hours before the show and Jimi rebuilt it his way for the show that night !!)

depends on the profit factor !!! Jimi only did that at Woodstock because Santana played up a storm , Jimi knew he was outclassed by that performance but also as headline act he had to WOW!!! the crowd the "show" made Jimi immortal , but turn off the vision and Carlos was KING . :)
