We collect old Euro and Japanese porcelain....Pick them up cheap when we see the right quality and price. While we very much admire the superb craftsmanship - it's not for us. The kids will get it all.....

I forgot one area we concentrate on is Japanese lacquerware.....we have heaps....and we search out the best. Easier to buy - outside of Japan - the Japanese pay more - and often pay too much - such is the demand. It is stunning appearance and quality. Wajima made (a town on the coast of the Noto peninsula) is the best - and the only ones we buy is the best. If it is not Wajima - we don't want it. That said other north-west areas of Japan have some manufacturing in the old style - but a little less quality.

If NL wants a doll house for his employees...he should let me know....He could have the worlds best. I'm thinking $200k AUD roughly.....but he can send me a diagram of what he wants for his dear 'employees'......

This is a bento (lunch box) done in Wajima:

Decent price and quality. No bargain....but a confident buy....It will only go up. The hobby is catching on.......
