Two rival African gangs in Brisbane's western suburbs fighting to control territory clashed overnight with knifes and baseball bats resulting in one dearth and multiple combatants being put in hospital at tax payer expense . These people should have their citizenship automatically revoked Australia does not need dole bludging murderers and thugs ruining our society these animals and their families should be sent back to their country of origin .

according to some reports there is a gang every two streets in some suburbs

some go along ethnic lines, some along current residency ( say , the King street gang )

good thing the Covid is tame up here or the hospitals would be overflowing

but government ( both parties ) policy is to encourage immigration and the infrastructure to cope for those extra people is slow to eventuate , so yes unrest is more likely .

ALSO for whatever reason many of these migrants have uncheckable backgrounds before moving to Australia

but gangs in Brisbane , that has been so since i was a child .. more knives and fence palings in my day .. not many used ( or could afford 0baseball bats or skateboards .. just a part of growing up in some suburbs ,

AND the Western suburbs of Brisbane have had a reputation of fighting forever ( there was even an epic brawl over a darts match in a nearby suburb .. many years ago )

the Westies in Sydney get more media coverage , but there are plenty of rough suburbs in Brisbane and some satellite cities

i remember one such suburb had a youth gang of 100 to 150 members that would gather most weekends ( and Friday nights ) not that many migrants in that group , mainly just youths from poor families .with nothing much to do .

more about government planning and recreation facilities IMO ( and a government addiction to growth via immigration )

A fight broke out at one hospital last night after 10 people were being treated from the violent fight between two groups of youths of African descent in Zillmere, in Brisbane’s north.

The rival groups of Sudanese youths and men attacked each other with bats and knives around 5.30pm Sunday, with police saying the brawl could be traced back to an altercation last week.

Three people remain in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Police said they feared further fighting between two rival African groups.

Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming on Sunday night said it appeared knives and baseball bats were used in the clash.

“It was quite a difficult scene where people were highly agitated,” he said. “I would ask the people who know the individuals involved in this incident to encourage them to remain calm.”

Supt Fleming said police had been assigned to the Brisbane hospitals where the victims are being held as well as on patrol around Brisbane.

“We have a large number of police present a number of hospitals. I am concerned this behaviour might escalate.”

the federal government decide immigration policy and the LNP are still bringing in cheap labour on 457 visas despite the covid health crises . The 457 visa scheme needs to be scrapped and all immigration should be closed down , Australia has lost millions of jobs and now has soaring double digit unemployment there is no longer any labour shortage or any excuse to bring in foreign workers . If immigrants are convicted of any crime they should automatically have their citizenship revoked and be deported , we never hear about murderous Indian gangs because most Indians are intelligent educated people who assimilate easily and don't murder each other , accepting people from African warzones is difficult we need to be wary of accepting corrupt murderous blacks and whites from Africa who have destroyed their own nations and turned their continent into a living hell on earth .

both major parties are pro-immigration they just want to cherry-pick who is let in .. the problem still is lack of adequate infrastructure before new citizens are accepted , the covid shut-down was the perfect opportunity for infrastructure spending and 6 months later .....

The Palaszczuk government pushed the AFL to hold the grand final in Brisbane on the Saturday before it faces voters at the October 31 state election.

In a commercial-in-confidence deal, believed to involve a cash incentive for the AFL, the state Labor government committed to also spending millions of dollars on promoting the final, including “dressing” Brisbane and the Gold Coast with football banners, lights and flags.

The October 24 AFL premiership game at the Gabba not only will break with tradition in being held outside Melbourne, but will also be the first night grand final in the league’s 123-year history.

It has been seen by Labor insiders as a major electoral coup for Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, with the excitement around the historic event expected to give the party a boost in the last week of the campaign.

“Queensland can provide contingencies for the AFL for hosting the grand final on both the 17th and the 24th of October, with Queensland’s preference being the 24th of October,’’ according to the government’s written submission last month to the AFL, obtained by The Australian.

It gave no written reason for its preferred date.

While Brisbane and the Gold Coast “will become footy central” — with a two-week festival, costing close to $1m just to set up — internal government planning documents said it also wanted departments to ensure the “excitement and pride of Queensland hosting the grand final extends beyond southeast Queensland and right across our expansive state’’.

To that end, the government is planning a pre-finals’ tour of the premiership trophy through regional Queensland.

The $75,000 whistlestop tour, according to internal government planning documents, will be “conducted by key Queensland government and AFL representatives” and stop in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and the Gold Coast — where many of the Labor-held marginal seat battles in the election will be fought.

And $420,000 has been budgeted to cover the cost of setting-up “regional live sites” in the same centres with outdoor screen TVs to watch the game live. The bill also covers a two-week “Final of a Lifetime Festival’’ — which will cost $935,000 plus “gifts in kind” — and the so-called “dressing” of Brisbane with at least 75 street banners, 24 bridge flags, outdoor TV screens and the lighting-up of buildings throughout the CBD.

The Palaszczuk government has refused to detail the estimated costs of hosting the final and the accompanying events, like the Brownlow Medal ceremony.

A government spokesman said the “government did not choose the date” of the grand final.

Already, planning for the AFL final has caused some concerns over interstate companies being flown in and now in two-week quarantine to deliver event services ahead of the game. In its pitch, the Queensland government promised a “turnkey solution”, with the Gabba stadium and an opportunity to grow the game in the rugby league-dominated state. It reminded the AFL that the state had helped save the season, in hosting Victorian teams during the pandemic.

“The Queensland government has provided financial support and has actively engaged with the AFL on its COVID-19 response to ensure the season’s viability,” it said.

“We believe in collaboration with the AFL that this unique opportunity could grow game development.”

Labour loves to create poverty traps ( housing for the impoverished )

before the influx of Africans we had Asian refugees , or East European refugees , etc etc etc different race , different time and yet the same short-term outcome isn't a race thing just shunting poor people in an area without suitable infrastructure , almost a compulsion for Labour

The problem is that all immigrants have entitlements to welfare and public housing which is commonly sub let to other immigrants , most of these people are criminals who deal drugs re birthing stolen cars run brothels and then buy up Australian property portfolios all paid for with welfare and the proceeds of crime , immigration sent Australia broke and caused serious social problems before covid it should be shut down permanently.

well MOST of them ( give or take several athletes forgetting to go back home ) were vetted ( cough, choke , chuckle ) and legally allowed to come here and stay

maybe the problem isn't the new migrants but the government and government departments that encouraged them to come here ( and remember this argument has been raging since the Vietnam War and proceeded across several different ethnic groups )

and the other issue is a series of governments that has been slow to upgrade infrastructure
